Monthly Archives: December 2012

This one was fun to concept. Article about watching trends in the commercial real estate market. Aptly titled: Saddle up for lending’s ups and downs. Created recently for December’s Scotsman Guide commercial edition.
A few details below, where you can better view the graph/money imagery, business peep and background subtleties.
545_market-ride_3On this project, there were two rounds of concepting “scribbles”. The first ones, are very quick thumbnails to help sell a particular direction since I was able to review these in person. The second a slightly tighter. but still pretty rough, sketch to get the green light to proceed with the final artwork, shown below.545_market-ride_5_sketch1 545_market-ride_5_sketch2
And, finally, here’s the final art (in mini-blog form of course). The final artwork was created at 21.25 x 15 inches for the printed magazine.
Just above, how the spread looks in context.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hot off the presses (not sure they actually say that any more), but here’s a new illustration for a feature article in this month’s Scotsman Guide Residential edition. The story includes info about Ben Bernanke announcing plans for a third round of quantitative easing, and how it may affect the future of the mortgage market.

545_bernanke5_typeAs always, thanks very much for stopping by my blog.
